Designer Andreas Engesvik

While in Norway I became a little obsessed with designers from Norway and Norwegian design. To continue with the Norway theme this week’s designer is Andreas Engesvik.

Andreas Engesvik was born in 1970 in Norway of course. He studies at the National College of Art and Design in Bergen, Norway.  He founded the company Norway Says in 2000 then went solo with his designs in 2009. His design ranges from furniture design to industrial design.

Here are a few examples of his design:

The Boo Carafe.

The Molo Chair

The Same Same drinking glasses.

I love the below description from Andreas’ website on the Same Same drinking glasses

‘Same Same drinking glasses 2007. “Same Same But Different” is a family of three. Each glass resembles the other and contains the same volume – but at the same time they have their own personalities. Whether stacked or mingling on the same dinner table they create an interesting dynamic that adds movement to the tableware.”
